welding 2 objects in PS
« on: December 17, 2011, 12:06:09 AM »
Not an expert with PS, thats why I am here. How do I connect 2 images together so they are one. What I am trying to do is write some text and draw an athletic tail on to it. When that is complete, I want to add a stroke to it. Without it being "welded", there are 2 objects. I can select each object and add a stroke to it, but the stroke cuts through the text and tail where they meet. Probably easy but I haven't figured it out yet. Did search's on youtube as well as other sites but haven't came up wth the solution. Anyone? Bueller...Bueller. Thanks. O yah, I am using PS7. Way more than I can handle right now. Thanks again

If I understand what you are doing, Highlight the 2 layers you are working with (hold control and click each layer).  Right click on a highlighted layer.  You will have to rasterize the text (action about 7 down from the top), then merge the 2 layers (3rd from the bottom). They will now be one layer.
