And yes you can make backgrounds and effects and overlays on velum and use it for a color plate or positive.

Pretty Impressive.
At first I wasn't to fond of the hard edges but when he followed up with the softer green and yellows, it definitely helped out.
When I'm at the boardwalks, during summer, I like to watch these guys work.  Most of them airbrush freehand with no stencils; so you know the pressure to not mess up is a bit higher.
