How do you create an outline with cut vinyl?

A customer wants a few shirts cut vinyl. How do create a text outline. I can create the outline simply enough but from using Draws outline tool. Or I can copy/paste and create an in/outline but then it has the whole image in the back and would be layering vinyl on top of vinyl.

In Corel create your text and select it. Right mouse click on the text and click on a color usually black then left mouse click on the white box with the X though it.
You should have an outline on your text and no color inside. Save as a PLT and send the file to your cutter.

Not working for me because I can only change the fill to trans white it does not let me knock it out. The white box you refer to, is that the color indicators on the bottom right?

If you turn the outline to object you will have 2 cut lines so don't do it.

Click on the transparent or no color box in the color pallet

Oh crap I never knew what that was for! lol! Well my cutter took a crap on me anyway so I have to go to plan B
