Anajet opinions
« on: January 07, 2011, 09:41:03 PM »
I am looking at a used Anajet. Anyone have any experience with these? It is the older FP125 model, but it was refubished a few months ago, and I believe had the hear replaced with the newer Sprint head.

I cannot personally speak about them but a buddy of mine had a newer one about a year ago and hated it. He said the prints were not that good and vibrant and the ones he showed me I had to agree. Anyway he sold it and just has me screen his stuff now.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a machine based on an epson printer.  I don't mind using the epson for films, but I don't take orders that need 200 films printed.  I've got an order in house for 72 shirts with a process front and back.  With a slow printer, that job might take over half a day, with the Brother it would take about 2.5 hours.

If they all use the same ink, what makes one brand print brighter than another?

The Brother is very appealing, but the 541 does not print on darks, and I believe their model which does is out of my price range.

I don't see myself printin orders on there more than 24 pieces. I am thinking it will be primarily 1-12 pieve orders. So speed is not  to big of a concern, within reason.

I feel that if I get a dtg, I need to be at a max of $5000 (including replacing the head). Going 10k and higher I do not see how I would realistically get any roi.  So this puts me looking at T-Jets, Anajets and DTG brand

I would look at this one because it will print on anything.  http://www.neoflexprinter.com/

Have fun with it.  Just because it says it prints on black doesn't mean it does it reliably.  You are better off with a versacamm.

They all do not use the same ink, one of the big differences between them is the software driving them.  I am of course talking about the epson printers.  The hardware is basicly the same equipmet if you are talking epson printers.

It may be a good starter printer.  I have a guy that comes in trying to get me to use him for my dark shirts, but his sample prints that he brought in were about a 6 out of 10.  The guy I use is about a 10.

Which brother do you have? The 541 or the 782?

I have the 541.  I've owned it for over 5 years and I have replaced 1 print head.  Never had an issue with it other than that.  I have also replaced a wiper, but that is normal as well.

I don't think there is an epson printer out there with a track record that impressive.  And mine is average.  We also have over 65,000 prints on it.
