Just for fun
« on: June 03, 2011, 10:13:04 PM »
Here is the line up of one of our designs. Will have more when I get some time. They will be going out with a small kit. What does everyone think?

Well I am kind of blind when it comes to small things so it is hard for me to see the shirts in that photo.

Nice. These are self-promotional items you're sending out? Even for a shop, these aren't dirt cheap to produce, especially with dtg inks, so how are you determining the target market that would be "worthy" of the shirt and kit? I'm sure you're not handing these out to some lawn service dude with a beat-up truck full of illegals.

Really that is a good idea.
In my area if someone wanted to fool with 10 to 15 shirt size orders it is alot of money to be made at the dirt race tracks.

But the shop promo is cool to. I hand out a couple hundred KillerGraphics.net and USArmyOnly.com
shirts a year. It is just about the only advertising I do locally.

I get a good return on them.

I like his shirt to.

These will be going out to printers, not the retail market. Will have something on the web site soon that will explain it.

This is all a little premature but just pm info and I will get them out. Local printers are already using us for this so if there is a need I'm sure we can handle it. Just doing the finishing touches to make sure we don't fail you. FTP, logistics, etc.

Don't be too hesitant. There is a demand for this and you've obviously got your equipment dialed in. The secret of success is not ready, aim, fire. It's ready, fire, aim. I take orders all the time not knowing how I'm going to get them done, but I always do.

The biggest thing besides quality and time frame is pricing. Most DTG I have seen is priced way to high to make it a viable alternative to screen printing. Look forward to seeing your pricing and the shirt. Will let you know on the size.

I'm not trying to take away from screen printing, this is why I believe there is a value to the printers. Some jobs you see cost you more in the time spent with the customers that want up to 50 pieces full blown 12 colors and seps alone cost more than the printing part of it. This will give you the option of using your discretion what falls under DTG and screen printing within the first few minutes of the conversation. Most of the time you say sorry can't help you etc. and your not fulfilling a need but hey let's see how it goes. If your already partnered up with someone I really don't want to take it but if your not taking it in or it's something your not addressing you never know unless you try it I guess.

I know you are not trying to take away from screen printing and that is not what I was alluding too. The point I was making is most of the contract DTG pricing I have gotten is, in my opinion, outrageous to a point that I would either need to just pass the price along with no margin for my trouble or pass on the job all together. As a result I have always just passed on even providing DTG as an option to my customers. I am very interested in seeing what you have both in pricing and quality. If it is a fit then I will definitely use you when the need arises.
