Kornit DTG
« on: September 28, 2011, 06:16:29 PM »
Hello,

We're considering purchasing the smaller version of the kornit dtg and I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on them they'd like to share.  We really like the idea of printing on darks with the built in pre-treatment but have some concerns with reliability and cost.  Appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Thanks you.

The Kornit printers are one of only a few purpose built DTG printers on the market.  Many other DTG printers use a purposed Epson print engine versus using industrial standard components like the Kornit.  My company distributes the Brother series of machines which is another of the purpose built printers on the market and I would encourage you to include the Brother 782 series printer in your list of possible options.

Thanks.  I've heard nothing but good things about the brother machines.  What's pushing us towards the Kornit is the ability to print on dark shirts.

The Brother 782 does dark shirts, the 541 is light shirts only...

I would love to have a 541, hopefully next year when we open a retail location. But have to get the new auto to pay for it! lol
