SPOF Forum Rules.

General:

No Porno or linking to any porno. Doing so is subject to immediate banning.

The Admin or Moderators can cut any post for any reason. Discussion of  Admin or moderators actions is not allowed in the open forum. Take all comments and complaints to PM or email.

Registration

While a complete and accurate profile is not required to be a member please remember that others may question your credibility if your profile is blank or has false information in it. There may be cases where the site administrators will request that a member discloses with verifiable info who they really are to the site admins. This information will remain confidential at your request. Failure to comply with that request can result in your account being terminated or your posting privileges taken away.

Sales Post:

Sales post are not allowed except in specific areas such as manufactures boards, product promotion, classifieds or the Member to Member board.

Responding to a post in any board about a product or service that is the topic of the thread is not considered a sales post. Example: If someone ask about screen frames and your company sells screens frames then you may respond with basic information about that product you sell. Do not respond with information about products or service not asked about.

Flaming:

Absolutely no flaming, no hate, no intentional jabbing or snide remarks. If you have a strong or personal dislike for someone, keep it to yourself.

Banning:

Depending on the reason for banning it may be permanent or for a time frame such as 30 days. Another option open to the staff here is to "handcuff" a member either indefinitely or for a period of time. Handcuffing means all the handcuffed members post must be approved by one of the staff here before anyone can see it.

SPOF will never ban anyone or deny access to the forum based on public sentiment or their dislike of a person. We will only ban someone for their actions. There is no favoritism or preconceived sentiments used in the decision to ban a member. Banning from or denying access to the forum for those reasons is shallow, unfair, egotistical, arrogant and unethical. If we banned someone based on the opinions of a group of members then what would we do if a group of members decides they no longer like you?

Manufactures and Suppliers:

SPOF is open to all manufactures and suppliers. If a manufacture or supplier wants to promote their products or services here we ask that they confine it to their board in the Manufacturers and Suppliers category. If there is not a board in that category for your company or service then just ask and we will try to accommodate you. SPOF does not favor one company or brand over another when it comes to providing a place and allowing you to promote your company.

Registration Agreement

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.

Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of posts. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.

Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) to law informant officials in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.  We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft. You must also be 18 years of age or older to register for an account on this forum.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

Once you register, all profiles, post and images you upload become the property of SPOF as it pertains to its use on the forum. Request for deletion of accounts, profiles and content you may have contributed to SPOF will be reviewed by SPOF and SPOF will decide to honor such a request or deny the request based on the impact deleting a user profile, subsequent post and any other material that may have on the overall continuity of the forum. By creating a user account you agree that SPOF is under no obligation to honor a request to delete a user account

Advertising on SPOF is available and falls under the terms of this agreement. If you create a user account within our ad system to display paid ads on SPOF then you are granting SPOF lifetime rights to display any and all ads at any time or anywhere on the forum at its discretion. SPOF also retains the right to remove any ad at any time if we feel it does not meet our standards for either looks, functionally or content.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

SPOF retains the right to modify the terms of this agreement at anytime without notice. Your day to day use of the forum as a registered member constitutes your acknowledgement that the terms can change without notice. You are advised to request the current agreement if you have any concerns.
