How does one go from "Newbie" profile to something more exalted?

I'm not sure of the number breaks, but I think your member will achieve junior status at 25 or so. Then there is a full member, top member and who knows what else?

I kind of liked being a newbie, 35 years into it... :D

I noticed I got a new rating recently: "Verified in the Business". What does that mean?

Newbie status allows you to ask "stupid" questions. Enjoy it while you can  :D

Hey Shannon,
Are you the one that posted an instructional story about screen printing and mentioned scope cooters and other such nonsense over at TSPMB a few years ago?  That was some funny stuff!   If it was you and you still have it, post it here.

I found this old post from Norm Crosby (aka Zuc) over there:

Norm's Scope Cootering Technicalities

Hey, listen folks, those video dramas on printing are great for Saturday night with the kids, but you need some written deception to help you out.

I've written voluptuous sentences on this subjugate of scopes cootering evulsion onto screens. Just deposit this inflammation next to your cooter area for future indifference.

First, you'll need two hands. No disrepair to the less inclined but believe me it helps. A C-clamp will work in a pinch.

Next, one last puff and then put your cigarette away from the evulsion. You don't want any foreign legions in there. I keep an ashtray mounted on the solvents bin nearby.

I always wear a restorator when working with unknown quantities but it's not unnecessarily needed.

Don't be put aside by all the confiscated technicalities of jargon, the rest is all pretty simple.

Now, open the repulsive bucket and fill the scopes cooter with evulsion.

Place the cooter against the screen and tilt it at a degree equal to that of which your holding hand is going towards, while your other hand, or c-clamp, is tilting the screen at an adjudicated angle to the table.

If you're left handed sorry, try two c-clamps.

Applicate the repulsion onto the screen.

Try to keep the pressure median and constipated but don't strain.

Now turn the screen inside out so the other side is showing away from the first side. Remember, keep the screen triangle and your cootering hand adjucated to the table at the same degree as before.

Reply again on the new uncootered side. If you used this screen before it would be the used uncootered side.

It may be a good time here to step back and finish that smoke and admiral your work so far.

Now replete the step before the smoking step again on the third side which is the first side you did before the second side. This is often deferred to as the other side.

(Auditor's note) It's a good idea to not have any mirrors in the room as this can cause contemplation on which side you are actually looking at.

There you have it. Your screen is cootered, wet and receptive to your hard image.

Well, I hope this helps complicate any confusion you may have had. If you have any intonations about scopes cootering contact you local authorities.

Yours Trudy
Norm
