check with Steve at QuikSeps.com. The t-shirt help site is down/being upgraded, but the regular site is there. He'll help, he's always been good with questions. Or hopefully, he's monitoring this, but he's been quiet here of late.

Some users might attempt to run the "QuikSeps Go" Action, which generates simulated process separations on files completely
void of vital colors or RGB values the program looks for. For example, a file consisting of a red flame, white text and nothing else.

Running the simulated process QuikSeps GO Action on files such as these which lack a wider color spectrum
could generate errors such as:

#1 No Pixels Were Selected
#2 Command Copy Is Not Currently Available

To Resolve The Issue:

#1 Open the "Color Bar Target" file included with QuikSeps Professional.

#2 Drag the "Color Bar Target" into your destination file.

#3 Place in the corner where it won't interfere with the image.

#4 Merge the now (2 Layers) into 1 layer and name it Layer 0.

#5 Run the separation (it will now function properly)

#6 After making final adjustments just select around the color bar area
in the channels needed for output and delete it.

Additionally, you can refer to page 62 in the manual to view a graphic of this
method as its also used with certain grayscale separations.

Did you ever figure this out? I have had QS for a while but I have not used it for a long time because of this very issue. I tried the color bar and I still have these issues.

dont quote me on this but I think I had that happen to me when I didnt have the correct file type set. Like I had it set to cmyk instead of RGB.

I reloaded my color profile in PS and it looks like it fixed most of the problem. It still pops up a cannot copy window but it does not seem to affect the final sep. I need to try it on a few other pieces and see if it fixed the problem.

Reloading the QuikSeps color settings file will not resolve this problem.  It can only be caused due to an incorrectly formatted file or if the file contains insufficient color data which the inclusion of the color bar target resolves.

Its also important not to have any other files open when running QuikSeps since it contains instructions to recall the "previous document" which contains needed channels previously generated by the program.

Thanks for the reply. I was getting the error with the color bar added to the file. I did however have other files open at the time. I will give it a shot without anything else open.
