Screen Printers Open - A Forum for Screen Printing and Embroidery

Hello!  I have been given the opportunity to take over a small screen printing setup for the art department at our local school ... I have done the easier part of printing some shirts off a screen the last person left already done! Now on the difficult parts ... I hope you don't mind the very inexperienced questions I will come up with!  Have a great day/night!

You think you have questions.... Here are some for you so we know where to start when you ask for help.

What software are you using for your art?
What digital printer for your film output?
What emulsion is being used on your screens"
What exposure unit do you have access to?
What make of printing press is being used?
How many stations?
How many heads?
Ink type? water/plastisol/sublimation etc

It doesn't matter how long you have been screen printing. Everyday brings more questions and more solutions.

So you can ask all the questions you want. Some questions are asked weekly but then you may just have one that is new to some of us. Screen printing is all about trying new things to see how they work for you. Then we try to duplicated it so we can use it before the trend is over.

You might think I'm kidding. But in screen printing, what sells today may not sell tomorrow.
