Anybody have a good brine recipe for a turkey.

Welcome!
I like my turkey smoked. I use a cup of sea salt to a gallon of water for my brine. Soak time is about 24 hours.. I season inside and under the skin with ground garlic, black pepper and sage before the bird hits the smoker...

How long does one smoke a turkey?....Does the brine help the skin from being so tough?.....Or is turkey skin not tough like chicken when you smoke it?...

30 to 40 minutes per pound when smoking.You need to use a thermo to measure the temp... 160 to 180 degrees F on the inner thigh is what folks recommend.
Skin is tough at this point. At least to my folks.
