Got Designers Block!
« on: November 14, 2011, 12:09:30 AM »
Need someone to design a flyer for me. I have been working on my tri-fold brochure and did not get very far and it looks cheesy. I dont have much to spend but am willing to pay to get this done. I have lost alot of hours staring at the screen and just need it done  :(

Post up what you have done. Maybe it just needs a little tweak or two.

Hey it worked!

Common mistake with designing flyers. You cannot read it because of all the pretty pictures used as a background. Do not use pictures for backgrounds on any advertisements. Use solid colors for backgrounds and just se the pictures for highlights.

So more like this.

Better for being able to read it.

Do a google search for "tri fold brochure design ideas" and then click "images" and you will get a lot of design concepts. Some are good and some are not but it will give you some good ideas to work with.

I have to disagree with   P. The only part of your flyer that is hard to read is where the yellow shirts are.

Choosing the right background can make or break your flyer. I like the t-shirts as a back ground if you
where having a special on t-shirts but it doesn't go with everything your are trying to get across to your
potential customers.
People are visual creatures and seeing t-shirts they think t-shirts no mater what the description on the page says.

Seeing how you are making a trifold flyer make each part about one particular part of your business.

The front should give as much info about your business as possible in short straight forward parts.

I think you are on the right track with the first and second fold the third fold should have Screen Printing,
Embroidery and Promotional Products with a short description under each heading. A reminder of what is
on the first fold

On the inside you can get into more details. keeping the same theme going with one fold for SP one for emb
and one for signs.
When you want something done
Talk to the organ grinder, not the monkey.

What happened in the past has everything to do with what we are today.

Even if you're on the right track, If you stand still you will get run over

Your eyes must be better than most. The only part I can easily read in the center is the very bottom after the "Contact".
