If you want a full blow shop management software that will work for you as a small shop and still work for you if you become a big shop then look at PriceIt Master

If you just want to create invoices then there are a lot of other options.

I too have been considering pricing software. I price shirts just by figuring a price in my head, but I have a problem telling a helper of mine how he needs to price items. SO my question is will this software solve this problem, and can he take it on his customer calls.

yes, PriceIt does solve both of these items for you.  Your helper can price stuff at the store and there is a function for sales rep to do quotes then sync up when he returns to the shop.  Give Ron a call and I'm sure he can explain all the details.

I just use T-Invoicer just to print out invoices. It does have customizable lists for lights and darks. If I become full time I will look into a full software program.

does anyone use Quickbooks to run their shop?

i understand that it is a very in depth program, but does anyone have experience with it for screenprinting?

Quickbooks is an accounting program, not a flexible quoting program. It works ok for small shops that do not do a lot of work but when you get bigger it can be a pain doing it Quickbooks as it does not handle custom quoting very well. If all your products where not custom then it would work ok.

I use quickbooks. I really think it is not a good program for our industry. It is better suited to items that constant. Qb does not easily allow for changes in price for additional colors or locations. Priceit or shopworks would be a much better choice. EVERYDAY I think of switching.

We use QB Premier for our accounting. Works way better for Embroidery and Screen Printing than QB or QB Pro.
POs for ordering garments and supplies and invoicing customers keeps track of thing better.

As for running your shop, a shop management program would be better.
