Anyone printing on one ?
How's it working for you?

They rolled it out at Long Beach and I think that had it a Ft. Worth this weekend. I am not for sure if it is in full productions mode yet. AND I do know that they are currently rebuilding their web site.

It was in Ft. Worth this week...cute little thing. I just saw it indexing, didn't see any actual printing...it indexed pretty quick.

I think it can index in both directions... so it can print, index, flash, back index, print, index, flash.

So this is the "semi-auto" right? Does that mean the platens index for you and you still hand pull the prints or the other way around?

Even though I'm broke I got a six pack of beer.

It has an indexer to move the platens.

Well boy howdy. I've always wanted a manual that moved the platens for me.

Baron of Anatol, can I get some info on this press and costing?

I had a .pdf sales flyer for the Titan... but alas, I've misplaced it.
It can be purchased full-auto, which I believe is basically a bare-bones Horizon Mini.
I'm interested because of the footprint size (7'3" ?)

Any Horizon Mini user's in the house ??

I'm really interested in the 6x4 or 6x5 footprint (7'10").
I was wondering if the machine indexes smoothly? (my Tuf shakes pretty good)
How quiet does the all air press run?
Is the factory registration crude or accurate?
Do you use an additional registration system?
Do you use 20" wide screens ?

I'm struggling to fully use my Tuf 6x8..... it's located in my garage which is really hard to heat 6 months of the year. The Tuf is old and well used, but I could sell it for the right price and get into a newer press that fits some longer term goals. I could fit a 6x4 or 6x5 into the walk-out level of my home. 99% of my work is three colors or less. I don't want to try and compete with shops that can knock out every job that comes along. As a part time printer, I'm content to hunt for those basic one color, hundred shirts job. I don't plan to ever take on an employee.
I don't see a 6x4 Auto as a risky choice, IF IT PRINTS WELL.
Every screen printing tool I've ever purchased has been easy to re-sell when the appropriate time came along (I've sold three manually presses over the last 4 years... if they are priced right they sell). I would like to print fulltime for a couple of years after I retire from my fulltime job... but not if that means pushing a squeegee by hand everyday.

I spoke with Paul about the Titan yesterday. Here are the things I got from the conversation:

Same heads as the Horizon
Small footprint
Stepback indexing
Lower CFM requirements (lower cost on compressor)
Will support 2 flashes
Lower cost than Horizon
Faster than Horizon

Not saying that the Horizon is bad. I was looking strongly at the Horizon. Paul is sending me the PDF. The three things that have me interested are footprint, CFM requirements and price.

Thanks for your input.... I've received the .pdf from Paul too.

Both the Mini and the Titan appear to be available in a design that will fit threw a single width door... another great feature from us home-shop types (the M&R Diamonback also makes that claim).

I believe the step back indexer (or a pnuematic indexer) is an option, hence the reference to being a "Semi-automatic" machine.
I may be wrong... but users of the semi-auto machine would have to rotate the carousel by hand, which may be relativly easy to do because of it's small diameter.

According to Paul the step back indexing is the ability to program the indexing to print, forward to flash, back to print then forward again. The step back is standard. This is not a semi-automatic in the sense that you have to manually index or print. This is a fully automatic press just like the Horizon. He said the servo indexing on the Horizon will do the step back but it requires an upgrade to the operating system.

Price quoted yesterday was $17,800 + $1750 for flash
