Frank, do you like t-works manager? I'm really in need of some shop management software. Some of them seem like they may be over kill for my shop and this one seems like I would actually use every function.  I really want to check out shop cal manager as well though....another reason I'm considering t-works is because I run macs in my shop.

Anyone else use this? Honest opinions?

I have used it but because SCM will basically be competition to T-Works, I will refrain for commenting.

Given that you are a Mac shop then you should go with Priceit if you want something stable and with great support.

SCM will be PC only until such time as it is offered as web-based. Just not enough Macs out there to justify it right now.

I will check priceit out tomorrow sometime. I could also run a pc for shop cal manager. I just want to get the right software.  I don't want to get all set up with one just to change a month later.

I just spent some time looking into t works manager. It seems like a lot of people have problems with it crashing and find it hard to get a hold of someone for support....

If you need something now and are leery of T-Works then look at Priceit. If you are willing to wait then you can see what SCM has to offer.

We've also been looking things over, but find most of the offerings a bit confusing. I'd like to find a primer that would walk through an imaginary order to help get the feel. We are a mostly Mac shop too, but PC's in the office and shipping. We're still a little archaic here...

PriceIt Express 3.0 for the Mac will do a ton of the every day tasks that small shops struggle with every day.  If you decide to download it play with for a couple of days then call us for a quick walk through, also check out the training videos on our site.

I can provide you with name and numbers of folks that use our system everyday.
